Brooklyn, NY – The ASA Avengers has announced Sean Floyd as the new head men's and women's tennis coach. "I love the game of tennis and I'm very eager to be a part of this tennis program and see what happens," said Floyd. "I'm ready to go after it, and continue the success that ASA has had over the recent years."
Coach Floyd has been playing tennis for 26 years, starting when he was five years old. He's played at the regional, sectional, and national level, peaking with a top 200 USTA ranking. One of his proudest tennis achievements was placing 3rd in the U14 ATA National Tournament. He was also a part of the NYJTL tournament team until he went to Murry Bergtraum High School from 2001-2006. In 2005, he was named the MVP of the team.
He continued his tennis success at the collegiate level where he went to ASA College from 2011-2014. At ASA College, he was part of the team that came in 10th in the NJCAA national rankings and was an instrumental part of the team that won the championships at the Mercy College Invitational. At the Invitational, he won the doubles tournament. Coach Floyd graduated ASA College with an associate's business administration's degree in accounting.
Coach Floyd started his tennis coaching career when he was 16 at the USTA National Tennis Center, and after he graduated, he continued coaching at Tennis Innovators NYC.
