New Rochelle, NY – The ASA Brooklyn Avengers men's basketball team played rivals Harcum College in the 2019 Region XV Semi-finals.
In the opening minutes of the first half, the Avengers came out aggressive on the boards. However, even with multiple second-chance opportunities, the Avengers were unable to find an offensive rhythm, shooting just 32.5% in the first half as well as making 0 of 7 from the three-point range. With a lackluster offense, the Avengers also struggled on the defensively end as Harcum shot 57.6% from the field, with 7 of 15 from the 3-point line. In the second half, the Avengers continued to lack ball movement and was unable to score from 3 point-land, missing 15 out of 17 while the Harcum made 16 out of 34 from 3's. At the conclusion of the game, the Avengers had 4 players score in double-digits. #15, Center, Miguel Simon had a team high of 19 points as well as added 11 rebounds. In the end, the Avengers suffered a blowout as the Avengers finish the season a Region XV semi-finalist.
